No More Job Cuts in IT Sector-N.R. Narayana Murthy

The Global Recession or the Financial Crisis spreading its wing in Indian economy will not result in any downsizing or job cuts in the IT industry, says N.R. Narayana Murthy, Infosys Technologies, told Media. ” There are no job cuts, the growth has certainly slowed down but it is not making any significant impact on us,” Murthy, who was in Delhi on Saturday to announce the finalists for Rhodes scholarships, said. He said that the growth in this sector will remain Green, albeit there is some ripples. In general the trick played here is they sack the senior employees and make a haunt for new employees. This makes the new employees to work more for less salary. He also said that the weakening of the rupee was just an offshoot of the global economic meltdown and was proving to be beneficial for the IT industry.
