The last remaining survivor of the Titanic tragedy Ms.Millvina Dean received over $ 50,000 in an auction of items from the liner to raise money to pay her nursing home fees. Rare prints of liner signed by the artist along with compensation letter sent to her mom by the Titanic relief fund also went on Auction in South West England.
The sale raised $ 53,900 ten times what Ms. Dean was hoping to raise with the letters attracting the highest bid of 11,100 pound. Ms. Dean was a two year old baby when the Tragedy took place.
