The Assam government had been informed of possible terror strikes after receiving intelligence inputs, the army said today. The army has received some information regarding the possible of Blast in Assam last month. These information were submitted on the tables of Prime Minister Yesterday. It was said inputs by intercepting messages about possible strikes in Guwahati, Barpeta and Kokrajhar and had accordingly shared it with the government and police machinery. But the input didn’t reveal the date of strike. As soon as input was received police took serious action and arrested about some 89 militans. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has admitted that the government had information about possible strikes but did not anticipate violence of a large scale.
