Over 1,100 flats for Commonwealth Games are getting ready for the construction work a village near the Yamuna for the year 2010. The Village is situated in east of Delhi and the construction project is handled by EMAAR MGF and all Buildings will be ready by April 2010. Out of the total number of flats, two-thirds will be handed over to the government while the remaining will be owned by the company. The court’s direction came on a bunch of petitions filed by environmental activists, alleging the on-going construction on Yamuna river bed would disturb the ecological balance.
