First major Upadhyay and now Lieutenant Colonel Purohit, the army men Caught in the Malegaon blasts, are said to have link with the Hindu extremist group Abhinav Bharat. The group was formed overnight ans seemes to have done most of the role in teaching the army personnel. The man focussed is Ajay Rahirkar who is the treasurer of Abhinav Bharat. Abhinav Bharat was founded long back,ie in 1904 and it diminished when time went on. It once again suddenly reappeared a year ago and it has come under stern scrutiny. Its new avatar was founded by Sameer Kulkarni, Ajay Rahirkar, Rakesh Dhawade and former Major Ramesh Upadhayaya, all now under arrest for the Malegaon blasts. Within a year it became very popular and started opening branches all over Madhya Pradesh. It was reported that it received a sum of 50 lakhs from three transactions. They also opened branches in Gwalior, Indore, Jhansi Sagar and Bhopal in four months. ” We have started the Hindu Legal Aid Fund. It was started in the Kotak Bank in Delhi. Lawyers fees, people wanting to meet them, we will help all of them “, said Himani Savarkar, President of the group.
